Plant Swap

Ready to trade some greenery? Join us for our Plant Swap on Saturday, June 27th! Here is everything you need to know to get your garden growing.

🌿 How to Participate

Drop off up to three healthy indoor plants or cuttings at the Manteno Library Circulation Desk between June 22nd and June 26th. You will receive one ticket for each plant you contribute, which will then be used to claim your new plant friends during the swap on Saturday, June 27th from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.

📋 Guidelines

To keep our community’s homes safe and pest-free, we are only accepting indoor houseplants and cuttings. Please ensure all plants are healthy and labeled with the name and care instructions using our provided index cards. If you are bringing cuttings, they should be 4–6 inches long and kept in water or damp paper towels. Remember that this is a free community event with no selling permitted, and any pots brought in will stay with the plant for its new owner.

💡 Pro Tip

If you plan on taking home multiple plants, please bring your own box or tray to help transport your new leafy hauls safely!
