Assistant Director and Tech Services – Position Filled
The Manteno Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal communication skills to join our team. The Assistant Director and Tech Services position plays a key role in promoting the library’s mission, vision, and long-range plan. Under the supervision of the Library Director, this full-time position, directs daily operations and activities of the Library’s collection selection, cataloging, interlibrary loan, plus oversees the library materials and collection maintenance budget. The assistant director also assists the director with management of the library, maintaining fiscal records and assists with spending and budget oversight.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Selection and purchase of new library materials.
- Evaluation of collection
- Oversee weeding schedule of collection
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in business or public administration. Minimum of three years of project management, supervisory responsibilities and public library cataloging experience. Professional library experience is preferred.
