Public Notice of Nominating Petition Packets for the 2027 Consolidated Election

Two seats on the seven-member Manteno Public Library District Board of Trustees will be open for the Tuesday, April 6, 2027 Consolidated Election.   All of the seats will be for a full six-year term expiring in April 2033.

To be eligible, a candidate must be a registered voter; have resided in the Library District for at least one year of the filing of a nomination petition; not be delinquent in paying real estate taxes to the Library District or delinquent as to other indebtedness to the Library District; not have a conviction for any infamous crime, bribery, perjury, or other felony.

Nomination petition packets for the Manteno Public Library will be available Tuesday, August 25, 2026.  Anyone wishing to receive and/or file a nominating petition packet may pick one up Monday thru Friday during regular business hours, at Manteno Public Library, 10 S. Walnut St., Manteno.

Completed petitions will be accepted by the Manteno Public Library from November 16 through November 23, 2026 during the hours of 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.    The last day for filing is Monday, November 23, 2026 between 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  No petitions will be accepted after 5:00 p.m.
